The territory of the Province of Alessandria preserves a rich network of routes (made up of paths, mule tracks and local roads) which in recent years has been the subject of a careful recovery and rediscovered by trekking enthusiasts; our Province has more than 1,300 km of trails included in the Regional Cadastre which, unfortunately, are often not properly known. Ring routes, paths in the woods and challenging climbs that allow outdoor life enthusiasts to discover a vast and varied territory, savoring the wildest side. Excursions on the Monferrato trails are practically feasible in all seasons of the year although the most suitable periods to fully enjoy its beauty are the Autumn season (September, October) and the Spring season (April, May, early June). With good equipment, even Winter lends itself to some "whitewashed" excursions. The site of the Province of Alessandria collects all the hiking trails of our Province which for convenience is divided into 8 sectors.the territory of the Province of Alessandria preserves a rich network of routes (made up of paths, mule tracks and local roads) which in recent years has been the subject of a careful recovery and rediscovered by trekking enthusiasts; our Province has more than 1,300 km of trails included in the Regional Cadastre which, unfortunately, are often not properly known.
